About This Quote

I don't know how to stop the atrocities. I don't know how to make people care. But looking into my sister's eyes, we seem to have carved out something between us that none of the madness can touch. Invisible threads. Whatever happened to love? And understanding? And friendship? And trust? We were supposed to be friends, not enemies.

We were supposed to be family, not strangers. We were supposed to be together, not apart. All of these things were supposed to happen and they all did but none of it was real.

I was just a child and I couldn't understand why we hated each other so much while we're still blood-related. It's like she woke up one day and decided that everyone who wasn't her was no longer her family and no longer needed her anymore even though they still loved her and she still needed them. She doesn't care about anyone but herself.

She doesn't care about me anymore because she doesn't love me anymore...or so she's said so many times before in this twisted sort of way that made me understand that she really didn't mean it at all but still hurt me a lot knowing all the hurtful things she said about me when I was younger that made me believe that she would never do it again but then, then she did it again and again and again until the only thing I could do was leave...I wish I stayed...I wish she didn't leave...I wish there was a way for us to be friends again but there isn't. And from now on, no matter what happens, I will never forget you or your sister…
